Interns will conduct extended process time studies, optimize production lines, collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and production staff, and contribute to a safe work environment through risk‑elimination projects. They will apply engineering principles to research and develop new processes and equipment, update existing process maps, and support various value‑stream projects for Bonnell customers.
Bonnell Aluminum is seeking students with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for its 2026 Summer Internship Program. Interns will analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities within a manufacturing environment, working across the value stream from raw material to finished product.
Candidates must be pursuing an engineering degree (process engineering preferred) and entering their junior or senior year at an accredited 4‑year college or university. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, able to work independently and in teams, and possess strong Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Inventor (or equivalent), and quick‑learning skills for production software. A motivated problem‑solver with effective written and oral communication, basic manufacturing knowledge, and a positive attitude is required.
Preferred qualifications include an understanding of engineering drawings, knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies, and experience with aluminum extrusion processes or metalworking.
The internship offers a wage of $19 per hour.
