Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and matrix to the Region Chief Operating Officer (dotted line), being a key member of the Regional Leadership team, the Regional Head of Finance APAC will hold end-to-end accountability for financial leadership across the region. You will drive financial strategy, investment governance, and commercial performance, providing senior-level partnership and insight to regional business leaders and Lightsource bp corporate leadership alike. This role is critical in embedding best-in-class financial processes and ensuring alignment of regional financial goals with global corporate strategy.
- Evaluate potential investments, acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
- Lead the region financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to regional and corporate leadership.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software
- Work closely with the Regional Chief Operating Officer and forming part of their leadership team
- Create augmented visibility on financial metrics of the regional P&L and CAPEX (DEVEX & Construction)
- Improves processes and accountability within the region, serving as the “glue” to a variety of finance and performance related functions.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support the regional and corporate objectives of Lightsource bp.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard the region’s financial assets and ensure operational integrity.
- Analyse financial performance against budget, forecast and KPIs.
- Provide Insights and recommendations to the regional COO for improving financial performance and achieving business goals.
- Facilitate communication and alignment between regional finance and corporate finance function
- Continuously improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with regional leadership to identify opportunities for growth, cost optimisation, and efficiency improvements.
- Coordinate the Investment Committee and Investment Governance processes for the region (liaising with Development, Structured Finance and Risk for Assurance).
- Close relationships with Operations, Strategy, Portfolio Planning, FP&A and People & Culture to support overall business objectives.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with corporate policies, IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the maintenance of financial records and integrity of financial data.
- Ensure data integrity and security within the financial systems.
- Serve as a financial advisor to the Regional COO on key business decisions and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, standards and corporate policies within the region. Identify, assess and manage financial risks including currency, credit and market risks.

This senior leadership role requires strategic vision, strong stakeholder management across multiple countries, and a decisive approach to financial risk and opportunity management in a complex and fast-evolving renewable energy landscape.
- Experience partnering with joint ventures, treasury, and structured finance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Minimum of 5 years Extensive experience in similar senior finance leadership roles.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, drive commercial value and manage financial risks strategically.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems, including ERP / SAP
- Strong integrity, ethical standards, and a collaborative “can-do” approach.
- Deep knowledge of financial regulations, investment governance, and corporate financial reporting standards.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and financial expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent. MBA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification highly desirable.
- Significant exposure to the renewable energy sector or energy markets is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
