Work with regional project management to develop, implement, and maintain a project specific Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) as necessary.
Plan and maintain schedules for sampling, reporting, permitting submissions, and will have responsibility for investigating, measuring and evaluating environmental conditions on site and carrying out relevant research, development, planning design, advisory and related engineering activities.
Support the Materials Senior Environmental Manager with administrative, permitting, and reporting activities relating to environmental compliance of our Materials facilities, as assigned by the VP, Environmental
Build relationships with Project Teams so to be invited during the pre-construction stage of the project to assist with support, training, questions, and as necessary help with implementing SWPPP and BMP into all phases of construction.
Develop and deliver both formal and informal training, boots on the ground inspections, audits, and mentoring as necessary to maintain full environmental compliance as related to our construction activities, aggregate, and asphalt facilities.
Establish and maintain a working relationship with individuals in governing agencies to aid in monitoring new or revised environmental regulations that affect the company.
Keep both field management, other Environmental Managers and Engineers, and the VP, Environmental informed of new and ongoing environmental issues on regional company job sites.
Build and maintain quality working relationships with all operations and environmental personnel as it relates to our construction activities, shop, aggregate, and asphalt facilities.

Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Valid driver’s license in good standing required
Must possess, or be able to obtain, recognized industry certification in Erosion and Sedimentation Control and Stormwater Management.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word.
Frequent day trips to project sites are required; overnight stays may occur as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, construction management, or related considered valuable
Possess the ability to apply his or her professional engineering competence with specialized knowledge of environmental and construction concepts to protect or improve the natural resources of air, land and water to provide a clean and healthy working environment for company employees and the communities we work in.
Ability to receive written and oral instructions.
Minimum of two years’ experience in the construction and/or materials industry considered valuable.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
