Project Surveyor

Description

• Lead project planning, implementation, and monitor operational effectiveness.
• Serve as subject matter expert for construction staking, topographic surveying, platting, legal description, boundary analysis, and exhibit preparation.
• Apply state statutes, survey requirements, and legal principles to project execution.
• Evaluate complex property title and boundary issues.
• Track and maintain records of title and boundary analyses, decisions, and issues.
• Define project tasks, schedule, and resource needs with Survey Project Lead.
• Evaluate project budget, scope, and fees with Survey Project Lead.
• Enforce company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Attend project team meetings to coordinate and evaluate progress.
• Direct field crews and manage field survey activities.
• Stay current on trends, technology, software, hardware, and equipment.
• Travel occasionally for courthouse research.
• Ensure quality control and assurance for survey activities on each project.
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance and mentoring to project staff.
• Manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.

Requirements

• Exercise independent judgment and critical thinking.
• Hold a Professional Land Surveyor license (multi‑state license preferred).
• Possess at least a two‑year surveying degree (four‑year degree preferred) and/or 5+ years consulting experience.
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Exhibit proven leadership and supervisory abilities.
