The Role

Overview

Handle inbound/outbound calls to schedule meter appointments and support field engineers.

Tasks

-Ensure that all jobs are claimed by the morning and the job is a ‘good’ job and ready for the engineer and customer. -Arrange access as appropriate (primarily over the telephone) to ensure engineer can complete scheduled jobs. -Liaise with other departments to ensure optimum service delivery. -To provide constant support to SMS’s field engineers and any sub-contractors, including directions when necessary, and schedule amendments in order to maximize meter installs and keep cancelled jobs to a minimum. -Identify any issues and raise to Metering Manager. -Deal with both inbound and outbound customer appointment calls in accordance with supplier booking guidelines. Booking meter exchange appointments directly with end consumer and suppliers if called upon and required. -Handling of ad-hoc queries from engineers, customers, Suppliers, and other teams on commissioning issues and assets on site. -Work report daily/weekly to ensure all jobs and work streams are correct. -Plan site visits & plan the work for SMS field engineers, including grouping jobs in the most efficient way possible and arranging access ahead of their visit. -Maintain work management database and any other relevant systems. -Maximize customer appointments for SMS.

What You Bring

-Computer Literate, I.T skills, experience with excel/word/ CRM. -GCSE or Equivalent in English and Maths. -Keen attention to detail, working accurately under pressure. -Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and reliability. -Good written and verbal communication skills. -Experience in a similar engineer/ logistics role with good geographical knowledge. -Excellent Customer Service experience.
