The graduate engineer will become proficient in design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, OpenRoads, and MicroStation, perform technical calculations, and prepare plans, specifications, and other project management tasks. This position supports the pursuit of a Professional Engineering license and requires strong organization, self‑motivation, and collaborative problem‑solving.
Candidates must be detail‑oriented yet capable of big‑picture thinking, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work both independently and within a team. They should demonstrate a proactive approach to design solutions and a willingness to incorporate others’ ideas.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or the ability to obtain one within 6‑12 months), an Engineer‑in‑Training certificate (or the ability to obtain one within 6‑12 months), and basic knowledge of the primary design software. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and professional software such as Adobe and Microsoft Project is also expected.
