The Framework Director (Education) will operate across multiple Department for Education (DfE) Construction Framework Lots in England, supporting school building programmes that include new builds, refurbishments, and design‑and‑build projects. The role ensures delivery aligns with DfE framework requirements from inception through to the defects liability period.
- Serve as the single point of contact for DfE Regional and Programme Managers and DfE Project Directors.
- Support project delivery teams at key gateways and monitor performance against DfE framework requirements.
- Provide oversight from project inception through the defects liability period, ensuring consistent delivery.
- Train and advise delivery teams on competition protocols, PI requirements, and timelines.
- Govern DfE Framework schemes, manage pipeline, and make bid/no‑bid decisions.
- Lead bid management activities, including writing, reviewing, and coordinating competition responses.
- Select and brief consultants, designers, and supply‑chain partners to ensure consistent approaches.
- Oversee transition from bidding to operational teams and monitor construction‑stage execution.
- Drive Soft Landings and Delivering Excellence practices across schemes.
- Collect and report KPI, progress, and financial data to the GT Building Board and DfE.
- Organise and deliver framework workshops, training sessions, and lessons‑learned reviews.
- Share best practice across business units and produce monthly scheme‑specific reports and quarterly presentations.
- Implement the Galliford Try Standardised School model and brief new teams.
- Liaise with procurement and key supply‑chain partners to improve pricing, quality, and continuity.
- Contribute to the Education Sector Strategy, marketing events, and development of new education opportunities.
