What you would be doing

  • Review and prioritise electrical routines against Life Maintenance Plans (LMPs) and maintenance manuals.
  • Lead and support maintenance and capital projects, including scoping, planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Prepare technical reports and collaborate across teams to inform decision-making.
  • Monitor asset health using diagnostics, condition monitoring, and reliability data to inform priorities.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and participate in risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and contribute to cost-effective decision-making.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Mentor and train staff in electrical condition-based maintenance strategies and benefits.
  • Develop and optimise preventive and corrective maintenance plans for electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian standards, regulatory requirements, and EnergyAustralia policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support high-level root cause analysis (RCA) activities and maintain electrical diagrams.
  • Support planned and unplanned outage activities.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with DCS programming, troubleshooting, instrumentation, and control strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience in a heavy industrial setting).
  • Understanding of equipment isolation and lock-out procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance within power generation or similar heavy industry.
