Join us and help protect what matters most! The Financial Analyst at Viking Group will support financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities that drive informed business decisions. This role partners closely with operations, accounting, and leadership to analyze financial performance, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide insights that improve profitability, cost control, and operational efficiency.

• Prepare and analyze forecasts, annual operating plan, and assist in strategic plan compilation.
• Lead cash flow reporting, analysis, and forecasting.
• Analyze inventory costs and recommend actions to management.
• Contribute to month‑end close processes and deliver timely management reporting and insights.
• Assist the Senior Accounting Manager and Corporate Controller with various tasks.
• Manage the capital expense process.
• Analyze financial data and key performance indicators to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and maintain financial models, budgets, and forecasts.
• Conduct ad‑hoc financial analysis and provide insights to senior management.
• Continuously monitor financial processes and systems, identify improvement opportunities, and implement changes.
• Support M&A activities and due diligence efforts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and brings at least two years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and data analytics, along with excellent communication and project management skills, are essential. Preferred qualifications include CPA or CMA certification and experience with JD Edwards or other ERP systems.

• Understanding of inventory accounting principles, including standard cost, FIFO/LIFO, and inventory reserves.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and data analytics.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards E1 or other ERP systems (desired).
• CPA or CMA certification (preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Strong project management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
