Senior Corporate Accountant

Description

The Senior Corporate Accountant will lead the accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls for several branch locations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial results, driving process improvements, supporting operational leaders with financial insights, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies. The position requires both a hands-on approach to day-to-day accounting and the ability to lead a high-performing team through growth and change.

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements for multiple branch entities.
• Track portfolio company performance and related financial metrics.
• Leverage ERP systems and financial reporting tools to enhance accuracy and speed of close.
• Provide support and training to branch staff on accounting systems and processes.
• Build a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with branch-level finance teams to ensure consistent accounting practices.
• Support systems integrations, M&A activities, and organizational change as needed.
• Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
• Partner with corporate finance to streamline reporting and transaction processing.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
• Leverage accounting software to streamline financial processes across branches.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable financial regulations.
• Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits.
• Identify and implement process efficiencies in accounting, reporting, and controls.
• Develop and implement effective internal controls across branches.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for all branches.
• Manage journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Ensure proper allocation of revenues, expenses, and intercompany transactions.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Corporate Accounting to join our growing organization. This role will oversee accounting operations for multiple branch entities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and delivering accurate and timely financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of private equity accounting, multi-entity consolidations, and advanced financial reporting skills.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, consolidations, and financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• Familiarity with private equity fund structures and reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in private equity or multi-entity environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in multi-branch or multi-entity accounting.
