Coordinate surveying activities with the assigned project manager to meet the construction requirements.
Provide work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by crafts (Ex: forms for concrete pours, anchor bolts, piping hanger and supports, etc.).
Building maps and sketches
Provide topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payment quantities.
Prepare documentation of surveying activities (field books) “as built” drawings and submit for approval upon completion.
Provide quantity calculations as required.
Providing guidance to field staff.
Provide checking of “as built” conditions that require the use of surveying techniques.

Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.)
Ability to manage multiple survey crews and projects.
Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).
Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company.
Proficiency with Trimble Business Center and Trimble Robotics.
Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
Must comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.
Work performed at low and/or high elevations
Thorough knowledge of and ability to use all the surveying equipment and techniques essential.
Ability to accurately read blueprints and calculate shapes (geometric, etc.).
Four (4) to six (6) years of experience as a heavy civil survey manager on large, complex projects including all work disciplines.
Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.
