Act as a subject matter expert for ecology and other technical disciplines, advising project teams and clients.
Monitor emerging legislation and industry trends to keep Equans ahead of compliance requirements.
Develop and implement environmental management plans and risk mitigation strategies for construction activities.
Ensure adherence to UK and Ireland environmental legislation and Equans governance frameworks.
Conduct environmental audits and assessments to ensure regulatory adherence and best practice implementation.
Oversee ecological assessments and mitigation measures, ensuring biodiversity commitments are met.
Provide strategic leadership on environmental compliance and sustainability across infrastructure projects.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in environmental monitoring, auditing, and reporting.
Lead environmental planning and compliance for all infrastructure projects, including construction environmental management.
Advise project managers on environmental risks and mitigation strategies across multiple technical areas.
Engage with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to maintain transparency and trust.
Manage technical disciplines such as noise, vibration, air quality, hydrology, contamination, and arboriculture.

Should also be working towards chartered status with a recognised professional body (such as CIWEM, IEMA, or equivalent)
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required
Requires technical knowledge across multiple disciplines, including ecology, noise, vibration, air quality, hydrology, land contamination, arboriculture, and environmental auditing
Proven ability to develop and implement environmental management plans
Experience in construction environmental management is essential
