Description

You will work primarily in a repair and maintenance shop located at the Montrose, CO hauling site, performing upkeep on a variety of vehicles and equipment.

Each day you will service trucks that serve over 20 million customers across the United States, using modern tools to maintain both diesel and growing CNG truck fleets.

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems
• Estimate time and material costs for repairs and parts
• Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs)
• Respond to emergency breakdown service calls
• Conduct safety checks on all vehicles
• Complete required paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times
• Assist senior mechanics with project work
• Review, complete, or assign repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA standards

Requirements

The role requires frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing, as well as constant standing, walking, and grasping, with occasional sitting and balancing, while being exposed to typical shop hazards and outdoor weather conditions.

Applicants must possess a REAL ID or an acceptable alternative, as travel by air or access to federal property may be required for this position.

• Minimum two years of relevant mechanical experience
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to meet physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodations
• Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Determined problem solvers
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constant standing, walking, and grasping; occasional sitting and balancing
• Regular exposure to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, dirt, odors, noise, and extreme weather
• Work both inside garage/shop or gas‑plant environments and outdoors in inclement conditions
