Description

Cuts old skids for recycling, using a hand held power saw.
Works with QC to resolve any quality problems.
Additional Responsibilities: Uses various saws, including the chop saw, roger saw, and wood saw to cut material to size.Performs other duties as assigned.
Backup for packing lines.
Plans effectively for the activity and prioritizes tasks.
Reviews daily work orders and coordinates activities of forklift operators so material is pulled in a logical order.
Works with shipper to expedite orders for early bird pickups.
Cutting skids to proper size.
Performs general housekeeping/clean-up tasks as needed.
Reviews QM and QS reports as they relate to material handling and researches discrepancies as needed.
Placing cardboard in isles.
Operates forklift to pull material per customer specification, double checking material, quantity, and tolerances with work order, and transporting order to packing line.
Builds wooden skids as needed.
Follows all safety instructions for operating equipment.
Maintain Warehouse Racking.
Makes effective use of information to make good decisions in a timely manner.
Transfers material to a four way pallet per customer specifications.
Conducts position specific new employee training.
Acts as a backup for material handling.
Operates overhead crane to move heavy materials and Sheet Manipulator.
Keep supplies in proper locations.
Communicating effectively with others to progress work, acts to preserve long-term relations.
Works with the Shipping Coordinator to resolve inventory problems and clarify unclear customer specifications.
Be aware of when equipment requires maintenance and notify proper personnel.
