Handles projects from start to finish 100% with little to no oversight. Senior Engineers tackle our most complex projects. Provides oversight, mentorship, guidance and training to others.

Coordinate all aspects of project document completion within company and externally with clients and other design professionals. Review contractor application for payments
Assign and review work of project design team
Asses the requirements of a project, break a project into tasks, and work with a Project Manager to determine the scope of work, budget, and staffing
Supervise staff on multiple projects, provide assertive management, technical leadership and support to team members, verify that all work is completed as planned and scheduled in compliance with client, and company quality assurance practices
Analyze operation of existing systems
Solve complex technical issues on projects, progressing from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects
Prepare or review construction budgets based on experience and scope of project
Mentor younger staff
Write scope of work for mechanical design based on preliminary review and meetings with the client
Prepare engineering studies and schematic design for new systems

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
10 - 15+ years of HVAC design experience in the MEP consulting industry
Proficiency in the latest version of AutoCAD, Revit, design, and calculation software
Based on knowledge of applicable building codes, work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to building codes is required
Ability to work on several concurrent projects
Thorough understanding of construction process
PE preferred
Expert knowledge of local design and building codes
Strong technical knowledge (expertise with complex mechanical systems and components
Excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively interface and become a Trusted Advisor with clients
