Core functional duties include reviewing specifications and drawings to develop accurate take‑offs and estimates, incorporating historical data, and generating labor‑hour and material quantities for multiple craft disciplines. The planner will use client ERP systems (SAP S/4 Hana, Prometheus) and Turner applications to document resource requirements, create change‑order requests, conduct job‑walks with SMEs, and prepare subcontractor work packages for bidding and execution. Ongoing monitoring of scope progress and documentation of resource utilization are also essential.
Candidates must have at least two years of field planning experience in industrial maintenance, capital projects, or turnarounds, plus four years of job‑site mechanical craft experience or a BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Preferred credentials include NCCER certification, journeyman or foreman status, and familiarity with planning software such as WinTake®, QuickPlan®, and Win PCS®. Strong safety commitment, proficient use of MS Office, and excellent communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills are required.
The role may require physical activities such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, lifting, and bending, and candidates must pass drug, alcohol, and physical evaluations and obtain a TWIC card. Turner Industries is an equal‑opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to protected characteristics.
Compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience. Benefits, depending on employment status, may include health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), paid time off, holidays, telehealth, and an employee assistance program.
