  • Manages construction cross bore prevention process to maximize capital spending efficiency and return on invested capital.
  • Coordinates scheduling and resource planning of construction jobs.
  • Promotes the necessary environment for effective internal customer satisfaction and collaboration.
  • Implements best practices while driving functional consistency, process standardization and operational excellence, while promoting safety.
  • Actively interacts with contract crews’ leaders to ensure contractor performance adheres to established metrics and policies/procedures.
  • Partners with engineers and engineering technicians to develop best-value construction practices and cost estimations for large pipeline projects.
  • Timely and accurate invoice payments to contractors.
  • Review contractor camera crew invoicing, contractor daily progress reports, to ensure that the invoice is correct and to ensure contractor productivity is met. Ensures timely and accurate invoice payments to contractor.
  • Supports construction leaders, managers, and contractors in coaching and training of a geographically dispersed workforce.
  • May be required to periodically work beyond normal 8-hour day (at applicable overtime rate) to accommodate construction schedule and needs.
  • Fosters and promotes valued relationships with government entities, industry associates, company affiliates, and contractors.
  • Assures activities and processes are implemented to ensure the safe, reliable and cost-effective delivery of service to customers. Promotes and assures safe working environment and public safety.
  • Utilizes technology, tools, and planning techniques to improve process results.
  • Works across geographic boundaries whenever necessary.
  • Collaborates with field operations/construction services, field operations leaders, and construction managers to ensure internal/external crew efficiencies are achieved and consults with construction coordinators to determine the best construction practices (i.e., directional boring, trenching, restoration etc.) is employed for the project.
  • Reviews maps, sewer videos, bore cards, and pull-back camera videos to ensure cross-bore prevention.
  • Attends pre-construction meetings with local municipalities to protect the interest of the company.
  • Supports a project management and planning culture.
  • Follows proper processes outlined in pipeline construction contract.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a company vehicle. Excellent safe driving record is required.
  • Safe/efficient high-quality construction work that complies with policies, practices, and standards.
  • Minimum of five (5) years underground utility construction experience
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Upon Hire
  • Experience in estimating project costs and creating job orders
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience working with pipeline contractor-paving and sewer contractors
  • Demonstrated knowledge of gas operations including gas flow, construction, contracts, and emergency response
  • Construction Inspection experience
  • All internal/external customer-responsive construction support.
  • High School Diploma Or equivalent

  • Strong experience working with excel, work, power point, etc.
  • Time allocation expectations: 80% in the field, 20% office
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal operating codes
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and operations maps

  • Operations Engineer/Engineering Technician experience
  • Working knowledge of operations support systems, i.e., WMS, etc.
  • Collaboration among engineering, technical services, and construction on project designs. Positive relationships with external municipalities and local authorities.
  • Strong knowledge of policies, procedures, and standards pertaining to construction.
  • Must be physically able to negotiate variety of terrain and building structures. Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Completed construction projects that meet customer expectations and budget requirements.
