In this role you will respond to service calls, diagnose equipment malfunctions, and repair electronic fire alarm and other building systems at customer sites. You will follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures, interpret blueprints and specifications, and ensure customer satisfaction through clear communication and proper documentation. The position also includes participation in an on‑call rotation and mentoring of teammates.
The job involves troubleshooting and repairing installed systems, including panel programming, device replacement, low‑voltage circuit issues, and system testing. You will organize technical resources, adhere to safety guidelines, and may be required to work after hours or on weekends to meet customer needs. Providing recommendations, quotes, and upselling opportunities to improve facility efficiency is also expected.
Candidates must have at least four years of documented experience with low‑voltage electrical and fire/life‑safety systems, be able to read technical drawings, and possess knowledge of test equipment. A high school diploma or equivalent, the physical ability to lift 50–70 lb and work at heights, a flexible schedule, and a valid driver’s license are required. Preferred certifications include NICET Level II or state certification.
