As a key member of the Quality team, you will be responsible for conducting both electrical cable splicing and Medium and High Voltage Electrical and Optical Cable Testing Activities.

Complete cable repairs in line with approved procedures and document all associated testing and results.
Carry out jointing activities, including cable preparation, testing, results submission, and report preparation.
Attend key departmental meetings and provide updates on testing KPIs and action plans.
Support the Lead Quality Engineer in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
Perform electrical testing on high-voltage cables throughout the manufacturing process, including sample preparation and test report submission. Testing methods include:
Conduct testing on fibre optic cables and prepare associated samples and reports.
Manage calibration of testing equipment, working closely with internal teams and third-party suppliers.

Strong manual, practical, and problem-solving skills.

Insulation Resistance Testing
Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or Science (HNC/HND preferred).
Previous experience in high-voltage cable testing.
Strong background in electrical cable testing methods and international standards.
Partial Discharge Testing
Clear and effective communication skills with teams and stakeholders.
Previous experience in cable splicing.
TDR Testing
Experience in electrical testing, particularly high voltage testing is preferred.
Knowledge of cable splicing and associated testing methods.
Conductor Resistance Testing
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical specifications and test plans.
Ability to collaborate across departments and work effectively within a team.
