Fire & Safety Officer

Description

The Fire Officer – Property and Asset Management will oversee fire safety at the assigned site, using the designated apparatus and following command‑structure instructions for fire suppression and related emergencies.

The role reports to the Building Manager and requires an analytical, meticulous approach to ensure all fire‑ and life‑safety systems function efficiently, and to determine appropriate fire‑equipment requirements for each area.

• Set up fire‑fighting equipment upon arrival at a fire scene.
• Dispatch and accompany the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• Prepare plans and conduct fire‑ and life‑safety evacuation drills and trainings for team members and occupants.
• Perform rescue, firefighting, and salvage operations during incidents.
• Assess trapped individuals and execute appropriate rescue actions.
• Conduct periodic lift evacuation and rescue drills.
• Secure affected structures to prevent rekindling.
• Inventory and record all equipment after suppression, including incident reporting.
• Participate in pre‑fire planning studies and maintain up‑to‑date fire plans.
• Liaise with government authorities for periodic renewal of NOCs.
• Report and maintain records of all site incidents.
• Keep checklists and maintenance/training records for fire equipment current.

Requirements

Candidates should hold a diploma or degree in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety and possess 3–5 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of current fire‑suppression techniques and emergency medical service principles is preferred.

• Diploma or degree in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety.
• 3–5 years of experience in fire safety or related field.
• Strong knowledge of modern fire‑suppression and firefighting techniques.
• Familiarity with emergency medical services principles.
