Description

The Project Executive (PX) provides overall direction and supervision for projects, overseeing Project Managers, Engineers, and Administrators. The PX establishes operational priorities, maintains relationships with owners, OPMs, subcontractors, and consultants, and executes plans for financial success. They are accountable for jobsite safety, quality, and managing critical issues, while directing project reporting, developing standard operating procedures, and leading business development pursuits, proposals, and interviews.

• Utilize industry contacts to generate leads and pursue business development opportunities.
• Lead work acquisition process, develop profitability plans, coordinate inter‑department staff, oversee proposal development, and manage interview preparation.
• Identify and communicate RFP pursuit strategy to guide project approach, staffing, estimates, risks, schedule, and logistics.
• Assign qualified staff to manage project scope and complexities.
• Manage preconstruction phase with estimating teams to develop budgets, schedules, logistics, identify risks, and conduct constructability reviews.
• Provide oversight across all project phases, ensuring continuity from preconstruction to close‑out.
• Establish and execute a customer‑satisfaction action plan.
• Identify project challenges and propose solutions to meet objectives and profitability.
• Negotiate owner contracts and oversee subcontract development administration.
• Supervise multiple projects, setting goals and ensuring objectives are met.
• Attend weekly owner meetings and regularly visit sites to monitor performance, cost, schedule, quality, safety, and profitability.
• Maintain client contact throughout the project to encourage communication and assess team performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, OPMs, consultants, government authorities, and subcontractors.
• Mentor, train, and coach staff, conducting performance evaluations every six months.
• Ensure staff compliance with corporate SOPs and facilitate training.
• Assist in sourcing and interviewing potential new hires.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required, with a Master’s degree preferred. Candidates must have 15+ years of experience in a lead management role for a construction manager or CM at Risk firm, including leading multiple large‑scale project teams. Proficiency in cost reporting, Microsoft Office, and basic schedule software, along with strong communication, presentation, and problem‑solving skills, are essential.
