A master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering with a specialization in Power and Energy Systems.
Prior experience in Power System Consulting.
A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a specialization in Power and Energy Systems.
Experience with power quality and transient stability studies is preferred.
Expertise in power system modeling and analysis software, such as CYME, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, PSCAD, PSS®E, Gridscale X APA, ASPEN, and/or others.
Experience in distribution system planning or operations, microgrids, and load/generation forecasting and integration is preferred.
Strong foundation in power systems and protective relaying principles, including applications and hardware—both microprocessor-based and electromechanical relays—from major vendors.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the electric power industry; candidates with 5 or more years of this experience may be considered for a Senior Power Systems Consultant role.
Ability to travel 10% domestically.
Proficient in designing, implementing, and maintaining protection schemes for power system components such as generators, transformers, buses, and transmission/distribution lines.
Experience with load flow, short circuit, protection & relay coordination, arc flash, and/or grounding studies for HV, MV, and/or LV systems.
