- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assemble mechanical and/or electrical components into finished heater units.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to complete tasks.
- Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality and accuracy.
- Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard or bump caps, and hearing protection as required while present on the shop floor.
- Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees.
- Prepare surfaces, apply paint, and ensure a high-quality finish on units as part of the final assembly process.
- Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.

- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, tools, and assembly equipment.
- Proficient in packaging components and equipment for shipment, ensuring proper protection, labeling, and compliance with handling standards.
- Experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Understanding of and adherence to appliable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety procedures, as applicable.
- Must understand Kanban; use Kanban cards and to reorder parts.
- Ability to handle light and average weight parts.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Exposure to moderate noise levels and varying temperatures.
- Ability to work safely.
- Ability to move up to 2,000 lbs. of equipment using pallet jacks, dollies and overhead cranes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
- 2 years' experience in mechanical assembly.
- Punctuality and dependability.
- Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including drug screen, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
- Physical awareness: ability to work in an environment with active fork trucks.
- Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor.
- Skilled in precision fitting of components to meet tight tolerances and engineering specifications.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions.
