The Design Engineer will design multiple projects, collaborate with internal and external design disciplines, and prepare design deliverables using BIM/CAD software, hand calculations, and computer‑based calculations while maintaining PEC’s standard of excellence.
- Perform engineering design and coordinate construction documents and specifications in compliance with building codes.
- Review submittals, conduct site investigations, and respond to RFIs during construction administration under the Project Engineer’s direction.
- Conduct design and takeoff calculations manually and with software.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely completion per PEC standards.
- Organize project information and files according to corporate workflows.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with the design team across numerous projects.
- Utilize computer‑aided drafting and modeling software; apply codes, regulations, and design standards.

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic individual to join our Municipal Transportation team as a Design Engineer, a role that offers the chance to make a significant impact and grow your career.

- Work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in an ABET‑accredited engineering program.
- Engineer-in‑Training (EIT) certification preferred.
