In this role you will research and analyze transportation data and trends, develop conceptual and functional designs for Complete Street projects, and contribute to transportation master plans and multimodal mobility scopes. You will also build strong relationships with public and private sector clients across Alberta, British Columbia and the broader Western Canada market.
Key accountabilities include delivering complex planning and engineering projects on schedule, performing network analysis, creating comprehensive policies, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting proposal development. You will ensure quality assurance, stay current with emerging technologies, foster innovation, and actively participate in business development and senior‑level client engagement.
Arcadis is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer or Planner to join its Mobility Advisory team in Western Canada. The ideal candidate has expertise in transportation planning, preliminary design, sustainability programs, and multimodal solutions such as Complete Streets, bike‑share and e‑scooter initiatives, and is skilled in project management and data‑driven analysis.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Civil Engineering or a related field and be a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.). At least four years of relevant experience, strong problem‑solving abilities, advanced technical knowledge, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
