Operators are expected to ensure safe, compliant, and consistent operation of treatment facilities, work collaboratively with plant teams and customers, and uphold high standards of customer service while maintaining a team‑oriented, self‑motivated attitude.
- Ensure the safe, compliant, and consistent operation of all water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of treatment plants and pumping stations in accordance with established standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of the collection and distribution systems as well as the treatment plants.
- Create and initiate work orders for operational servicing and repairs.
- Prepare and manage activity and work orders for both preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Order goods and equipment, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Provide guidance and support to plant team members.
- Communicate with operators, clients, and management regarding any issues that may affect the treatment process, compliance, or public health.
- Support water and wastewater treatment projects by assisting in the development of project plans and SOPs, as well as justifying and executing project requests.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships and communication between operators and customers.

H2O Innovation is seeking a new Operator to join our team in Houston, Huntsville, and Livingston, Texas. This full‑time, permanent role involves conducting regular inspections of our water and wastewater treatment plants and supporting related projects. The successful candidate will be required to pass a background check, including criminal, motor‑vehicle, and drug‑and‑alcohol screenings.
- Day shift from Monday to Friday
- Minimum Class D License required.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Walking & Standing: 4-8 hr/day
- Bending & Reaching: 4-8 hr/day
- Pushing & pulling: 4-8 hr/day
- Driving 4-6 hr/day
- Physical Effort: does not lift weights more than 100 lbs
