Overnight Warehouse Supervisor

Description

Reports to – Logistics Manager. This position is responsible for all activities related to distribution operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing of construction supply material, and dispatching delivery trucks.

• Ensure orders and inter‑branch transfers are picked, checked, packed, and loaded per company guidelines.
• Verify order accuracy, material quantity, and quality before delivery.
• Collaborate with Inbound/Inventory Manager to control inventory and reduce “can’t find” errors.
• Process all parcel shipments for customer delivery.
• Provide a motivating work environment and uphold high performance standards.
• Communicate policies, enforce compliance, and administer corrective action as needed.
• Foster teamwork to achieve operational goals and maintain warehouse cleanliness.
• Enforce safe work practices and maintain a safe work environment.
• Monitor and enforce NEFCO training initiatives for supervised associates.
• Assist in implementing and improving training processes.
• Review and approve employee timecards, PTO requests, and resolve time‑keeping errors.
• Work independently, establish priorities, and multitask in a fast‑paced setting.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, and maintain certification.

Requirements

The role operates Monday‑Friday with occasional Saturdays, 45‑50 hours per week, and requires completion of all assigned NEFCO trainings.

Candidates must have at least two years of experience in industrial warehousing or distribution, a high school diploma (college degree preferred), and be able to operate warehouse equipment and use NEFCO’s ERP system.

• Lift safely up to 75 lb and perform physical tasks such as crouching, stooping, and standing on concrete for long periods.
• Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
