Production Supervisor (Bogie Assembly) 2nd Shift

Conduct bi-annual employee performance reviews; plan, monitor, and document training and development.
Facilitate positive communication and keep the team informed of work status, performance, and process changes.

Collaborate with other supervisors and support functions (Quality, Engineering, Scheduling, Procurement) to solve problems and improve outcomes.

Plan and execute bogie assembly operations, define workflow, and establish priorities to meet project and interdepartmental requirements.
Provide functional leadership and support for bogie machining and weld teams only when required.
Manage, coach, and develop a team of up to 30-40 workers in bogie assembly on 2nd shift.
Track and manage production performance; identify constraints and implement effective countermeasures.
Offer technical guidance and help resolve issues in machining and weld areas as needed.
Identify root causes of defects and implement measures for defect reduction.
Ensure production vehicles are ready for inspections and shipping deadlines.

Minimum 5 years of production supervision experience in manufacturing.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and evaluate parts against specifications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; SAP experience preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
Effective coaching, leadership, communication, and team-building skills for an hourly workforce.
Experience implementing changes to improve safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
Rail/Rolling Stock manufacturing experience is a plus.
