  • Promote an ownership culture and ensure every employee takes personal responsibility for success.
  • Conduct bi-annual employee performance reviews; plan, monitor, and document training and development.
  • Facilitate positive communication and keep the team informed of work status, performance, and process changes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, PPE, and company policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives from team ideas.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and support functions (Quality, Engineering, Scheduling, Procurement) to solve problems and improve outcomes.
  • Solve the world's most significant problems – Be part of exciting and innovative projects.
  • Plan and execute bogie assembly operations, define workflow, and establish priorities to meet project and interdepartmental requirements.
  • Provide functional leadership and support for bogie machining and weld teams only when required.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of up to 30-40 workers in bogie assembly on 2nd shift.
  • Track and manage production performance; identify constraints and implement effective countermeasures.
  • Offer technical guidance and help resolve issues in machining and weld areas as needed.
  • Identify root causes of defects and implement measures for defect reduction.
  • Ensure production vehicles are ready for inspections and shipping deadlines.
  • Commit to Zero Harm for the health and safety of all employees.

  • Minimum 5 years of production supervision experience in manufacturing.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and evaluate parts against specifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; SAP experience preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes for mechanical and electrical assembly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Effective coaching, leadership, communication, and team-building skills for an hourly workforce.
  • Experience implementing changes to improve safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
  • Rail/Rolling Stock manufacturing experience is a plus.
