Embedded Software Engineer

Description

• Apply knowledge of the DO-178 software development process to ensure compliance and quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and firmware issues.
• Develop and maintain software architecture and manage requirements.
• Design, develop, and enhance embedded software/firmware for power supplies and motion control systems.
• Participate in peer reviews of software components and system designs.
• Modify and optimize existing embedded software to correct errors, support new hardware, and improve performance.
• Collaborate with project leaders and cross-functional engineering teams to achieve project objectives.
• Execute assignments within defined scope, schedule, and performance expectations.

Requirements

• Experience with embedded C, firmware, and embedded systems.
• Knowledge of software development, circuit design, power converters, CAN bus, RS232, state flow diagrams, and software architecture.
• Strategic, forward-thinking mindset to guide team success.
• Sound judgment and decision-making capability.
• Effective active listening and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design principles and applications.
• Ability to perform essential functions in office, lab, and production environments.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret technical data and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with JAMA for managing software configuration.
