You will join Southern Water’s frontline operations team in Kent, ensuring wastewater treatment works and pumping stations operate smoothly. The role is critical for maintaining regulatory compliance, protecting the environment, and delivering high‑quality service to customers.
The successful candidate must hold a valid UK manual driving licence, be comfortable working outdoors in all weather, and demonstrate adaptability, reliability, self‑motivation and strong time‑management skills. You should be able to work independently, learn quickly and operate complex wastewater processes.
Experience in wastewater operations or similar process industries is desirable, as are basic mechanical or electrical maintenance skills. These capabilities will support you in performing the technical aspects of the job.
The position closes on 23 January 2026 and is based in Tonbridge, Kent, with travel required across multiple sites and a current full UK driving licence. It is a permanent full‑time role (38 hours per week) with a salary of £27,496 per annum, plus standby and overtime opportunities that can significantly increase earnings.
