The internship supports sustainability‑related projects by conducting research, managing data, and preparing deliverables. Interns gain hands‑on experience with green building certification systems, carbon management, energy performance modelling and other sustainability assessments. They also contribute to project proposals and reporting while applying international sustainability standards.
The role involves executing research tasks, organizing and generating data, and supporting the preparation of project deliverables and proposals for ongoing Atkins initiatives. Interns must be able to prioritize under pressure, work flexibly across office locations and demonstrate self‑motivation and commitment to sustainable outcomes. Interpersonal skills are needed to communicate ideas and issues effectively.
Candidates should hold a degree in environmental studies, architecture, engineering, sustainability or a related field. Experience or knowledge of certification systems such as LEED, Estidama, MOSTADAM or WELL, as well as carbon assessment and energy modelling, is required. Strong written and verbal communication, report‑writing, presentation skills and the ability to review work for quality are essential.
