Power Distribution Intern

Description

• May include but is not limited to utility pole data collection, data input into software, data movements to solve clearance violations or loading issues in software, pole tagging, and NJUNS ticket work
• Support the preparation of reports, plans and specifications for client
• Support various project tasks including regulatory requirements/reviews, cost estimates, research, procurement support, etc.
• May include field work and occasional driving as part of project responsibilities
• Perform data entry, data management, data evaluation, and data presentation
• Assist in auditing, field surveying, inspections, structural analysis and partial design

Requirements

• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Self-motivated, detail orientated person
• Experience in the Power industry/field is preferred but not required
• Experience with engineering software applications (AutoCad, MathCad, ESRI, HydroCad, WaterCad, ARCView GIS, etc.) is preferred but not required
• Juniors or seniors pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Experience with field work is preferred but not required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills
• Must be at least 21 years old
