What you would be doing

  • Inspection of existing VT installations and condition reports
  • Perform design calculations including Elevate for lift designs
  • Design and engineering of Vertical transportation systems for a variety of projects.
  • Preparation of VT project specifications and tender documents
  • Select appropriate VT equipment for use in buildings
  • Work collaboratively with other Engineers and Project Engineers to represent the Company and interact with clients, contractors and other project team members.
  • Collaborate with the design team on the preparation of fee proposals and review of associated project conditions of contract
  • Report writing including project briefs and design reports

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with team members and clients
  • Experience in using Peters Research Elevate software or similar for VT simulations will be highly regarded
  • Previous experience in a similar client facing role is highly desirable
  • Strong technical knowledge of vertical transportation systems to primarily include elevators, escalators, moving walks. Knowledge of other vertical transportation systems like dumbwaiters, platform lifts and hoists will be also highly regarded
