What you would be doing

Assist in window and door unit installations, including glazing, sealing, and weatherproofing.
Participate in regular team meetings, providing updates on job progress and potential challenges.
Assist in the preparation and cutting of glass for both commercial and residential projects in the shop.

Loading & Unloading Materials
Assist with general shop and warehouse duties, including inventory management, cleaning, and organization.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace at installation sites.
Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials, such as broken glass and other debris.
Operate various glass fabrication machinery, including glass cutters, edge polishers, and automatic cutting tables.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws regarding glass installation and repair.
Measure and cut glass to exact specifications, ensuring proper fit for windows, mirrors, doors, and other glass applications.
Ensure that installations meet safety standards and adhere to building codes and regulations.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
Follow all safety regulations and protocols to ensure the safety of oneself, co-workers, and customers.
Work closely with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
Cut, shape, and grind glass to meet design specifications for both residential and commercial projects.
Use tools like sandblasters, drills, and polishing tools to smooth and shape edges for high-quality finishes.
Ensure all materials are handled properly to prevent damage and that proper safety protocols are followed.
Organize glass and other materials in a manner that makes them easily accessible for team members.
Schedule appointments for in-home or on-site evaluations and installations.
Provide high levels of customer service and professionalism when interacting with clients, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
Install, replace, and repair glass in residential and commercial buildings, including windows, doors, mirrors, shower enclosures, storefronts, and custom glass work.
Safely load and unload glass materials and supplies from delivery vehicles to the shop or job site.
Provide accurate estimates and invoices for glass repair and installation services.
Measure and cut glass to precise dimensions using specialized tools and equipment.

Experience with a variety of glass types, including tempered, insulated, laminated, and custom glass.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices (preferred).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required).
Strong knowledge of glass cutting, handling, and installation techniques.
Certification from a recognized trade school or apprenticeship program (preferred).
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a glazier in both residential and commercial settings.
