

Crux Subsurface, Inc. provides geotechnical engineering and subsurface investigation services.
The Project Controls Coordinator at Crux Subsurface will support job costing, financial reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable, project execution, and project controls, liaising with the corporate accounting office, subcontractors, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
The role involves collaborating with contract administrators and project managers to monitor change orders, manage DBE utilization reporting, prepare and correct project invoices, and support project accounting from contract award through completion. The coordinator develops and analyzes financial information using Ecosys, verifies project costs, reviews subcontractor invoices, and assists with forecasting, cash‑flow, and compliance reporting.
Additional duties include managing accounts‑receivable reconciliations, researching unbilled issues, ensuring timely invoice submission, developing tools for invoice delivery, following up on overdue payments, handling document management, conducting internal audits, and maintaining positive relationships with project teams, vendors, and customers while enforcing company policies and regulatory compliance.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, business or a related field, or equivalent experience, and 2–5 years of project coordination or controls experience, preferably in construction, engineering, or utilities. Candidates must be proficient with project management software such as MS Project and Excel, possess strong communication and organizational skills, be able to analyze data for actionable insights, and be familiar with cost control and scheduling principles.
