Designs, develops, and delivers skills driven curriculum that meets participant needs and Gaylor’s objectives
Organizes and prioritizes workload to meet deadlines
Works collaboratively with operational leadership to plan and facilitate craft education delivery and the craft assessment program
Facilitates the craft assessment and uses this information to design individual training needs
Plans and coordinates content delivery, administration, and logistics
Promotes the philosophy of Gaylor Core Values, inspires outside-the-box thinking and openness to effectively promote Gaylor’s culture
Identifies areas for improvement and provides recommendations
Evaluates effectiveness of craft education and apprenticeship programming
Research internal and external best practices and assists with recommendations for continuous improvements in education-related programs
Coaches skilled craft employees who function as trainers on effective implementation of developed curriculum
Continuously reviews existing educational practices and programs, especially as it relates to engagement and curriculum effectiveness
Facilitates continual educational development activities that supports Gaylor career pathways
Organizes and maintains schedules, agendas, and travel arrangements
Leads assessment of craft education and employee development needs for operations

Must be able to work scheduled hours as well as overtime, as required, on short notice
Must be computer literate and able to process documents in Microsoft Suite in addition to quickly learning Gaylor’s operating software
Ability to reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead
Must be able to remain calm in times of heightened emotional situations
Ability to work while sitting or standing for long periods
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (port-o-lets)
Apprenticeship completion or relevant craft electrician certification
Previous experience with training and/or education in the construction industry
Must be able to wear personnel protective equipment (i.e., hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high visibility vest, safety harness, etc.) when required
Possess good vision/hearing (normal or corrected)
High school diploma or equivalency
Ability to make transition from designated employee parking areas to construction areas and be able to gain access to all levels of building/structure, even if only means of access is by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction but deemed safe for use
Ability to work while constantly moving on one's feet
Strong communication and presentation delivery skills
Must be able to work in noisy environments
High level of electrical construction skills and experience
Must work well with others as a member of a team to complete tasks
Bilingual Spanish required
Must have required hand tools at all times while at work site (waist tool belts can weigh up to 30 lbs.)
May require working in all elements (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.) depending on job location and/or time of year
Strong administrative, organization, and communication skills
Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
