The role is responsible for managing production targets according to planned quantities and standard hours. It involves planning and establishing work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to achieve efficiency goals, while applying Lean tools and leading Kaizen events. The supervisor directs operators and contract labor, coordinates manufacturing orders and shift outputs, and collaborates with other supervisors to align activities across modules.
The incumbent uses proven inspection and measurement techniques to assess product quality and process performance, providing feedback and reporting as needed. They drive results, train new employees in assembly, testing, and safety procedures, and integrate technical skills to identify and eliminate hazards. Maintaining 6S standards on the shop floor and delivering daily plan, achievement, and gap analysis reports to the Production Manager, while liaising with quality, purchasing, and maintenance teams, are also key duties.
A Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Electrical or Electronics is required, with at least five years of experience in producing electrical/electronic products.
The candidate must demonstrate strong production planning, people management, and interpersonal skills, possess hands‑on experience with Lean tools, and be highly ethical with good communication across diverse teams. Familiarity with SAP, the ability to handle shop‑floor grievances, and fluency in Tamil and English are also essential.
