NDT Responsible Level III

Description

The role involves supervising Level I and II inspectors, ensuring the work area, tools, and equipment are organized and clean, and maintaining accurate training and inspection records. Candidates must hold NAS410 and SNT-TC-1A Level III certifications and be trained according to those standards.

• Write, approve, and maintain all internal procedures for the NDT department.
• Write and/or approve all techniques for the NDT department.
• Train and maintain training records for all Level I and Level II personnel.
• Test and verify that all levels meet current status requirements.
• Review new specifications and revisions to ensure internal procedures comply.
• Interact with customers during audits and visits, explaining technical information as needed.
• Inspect products using customer‑provided acceptance criteria.
• Set up and perform Level III duties with minimal supervision while keeping the work area organized and clean.
• Perform any NDT job and answer audit questions from customers.

Requirements

• Level III is the highest certifiable qualification; individuals must perform specific tests, calibrations, and flaw interpretation, and write/maintain procedures and techniques.
• Must be trained by an outsourced trainer according to NAS410, SNT‑TC‑1A requirements, and PTI’s internal procedures.

Benefits

Element is seeking a NDT Responsible Level III to train and certify Level I and Level II personnel, write and approve department procedures, and interpret blueprints and customer requirements for Fluorescent Penetrant and Magnetic Particle testing. The position offers a salary range of $80,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
