Develop and maintain full-stack platform for solar energy network using Python/Django, Vue.js.

Tasks
You'll be working across the full stack using Python/Django, Vue.js, and MariaDB to build and maintain the platform that manages our solar hubs, battery networks, and the thousands of customers they serve daily. It's an exciting and varied challenge where your code directly -Integrate third-party APIs and services to extend platform capabilities -Participate actively in Agile processes, contributing to planning and refinement sessions -Optimise database performance and ensure efficient data storage and retrieval for our growing network -Work collaboratively across the company to continuously refine how our platform can create the greatest impact, scale efficiently, and operate reliably for our users -Build intuitive and responsive web interfaces that work reliably in challenging connectivity environments -Design, develop, and maintain features for the MOPO Platform that enhance functionality and user experience -Troubleshoot technical issues to ensure minimal disruption to our operations across four countries -Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and champion best practices

What You Bring
The role is based primarily in our Sheffield HQ, with up to two days working from home if desired. Occasional international travel to Sub-Saharan Africa is entirely optional, but is something they offer to all of their employees if they are interested. -Server deployment and maintenance (e.g. nginx, cron, package managers) -Experience with distributed systems or offline-first architectures -Knowledge of IoT or hardware integration -Strong debugging skills (e.g. PyCharm debugger, pdb, Sentry) -Version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines -Strong proficiency in Python and Django for backend development -Good working knowledge of Vue.js (or similar Javascript framework, e.g. React) -RESTful API design and development -In-depth knowledge of MariaDB and SQL -Background in energy, mobility, or fintech sectors
