The Marine Coordinator – Vetting position is based in Oakville, Ontario, reporting to the Marine Manager. You will lead the vessel vetting and clearance program while supporting marine‑related audits and assurance initiatives to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant shipments of crude oil, products, chemicals, and equipment.
Key duties involve managing the vetting and clearance process, assisting the Marine Manager with technical audits, providing expertise on marine technical and operational matters, and guaranteeing compliance with company and regulatory standards. Preference is given to individuals accredited as OCIMF‑SIRE 2.0 inspectors or with experience conducting OCIMF MTMSA and TMSA audits.
Candidates must have at least ten years of marine and shipping experience, emphasizing marine assurance and operations, and five years of tanker sailing experience at a management level. Required knowledge includes ship inspection reports, chemical distribution standards, offshore vessel inspection databases, and incident/accident investigations, supported by a relevant nautical degree or certification.
