The EAM Geospatial Specialist will support the Port Authority’s Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Program by developing geospatial data standards, integration protocols, and mapping tools critical to infrastructure asset management.
- Establish and document geospatial data validation and quality control procedures ensuring positional accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Design, publish, and manage authoritative map and feature services for web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with the Technology Department (TEC) and Asset Management Support Services (AMSS) team to integrate GIS data with the Enterprise Maximo Platform (EMP).
- Develop and document geospatial data models and schemas for key transportation infrastructure assets (e.g., bridges, roads, rail).
- Define technical specifications and coordinate the creation of authoritative base maps to support EAM operations.
- Design, implement, and maintain Linear Referencing Systems (LRS) and associated methods (LRM) for the EAM Program.
- Ensure that all geospatial deliverables meet stakeholder business requirements and user experience expectations.
- Create and maintain comprehensive metadata and master data dictionaries (ARID) for all EAM-related geospatial features.
- Configure and deploy user-friendly Web Maps and Web Applications (ArcGIS Online/Portal, Experience Builder, Field Maps) for EAM workflows.

This role requires a strong command of Esri ArcGIS platforms, geospatial data modeling, and enterprise database management. The specialist will collaborate with technical teams, asset management stakeholders, and system integrators to ensure the seamless integration of GIS data with enterprise systems such as Maximo, enhancing operational visibility and decision-making across the Authority.
- Proficiency in data pipeline tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
- Knowledge of maintenance and asset lifecycle management principles.
- Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Advanced expertise with Esri ArcGIS Platform (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and mobile apps such as Field Maps or Survey123).
- Proven ability to document geospatial data standards, models, and validation processes.
- Strong experience with enterprise geodatabases, including versioning, replication, and data governance.
- GISP Certification or equivalent professional accreditation.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Experience defining and implementing a Linear Referencing System (LRS) or Linear Referencing Methods (LRM) in transportation or utility networks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience integrating GIS with EAM/CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo, SAP, AssetWorks).
- Familiarity with CAD-to-GIS integration and conversion workflows.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive professional experience utilizing GIS in a transportation, public works, or asset management environment.
