Associate Consultant - Permitting and Compliance
Rps
Providing innovative solutions in planning, design, engineering, and project management across multiple sectors.
Provide permitting and compliance advice, manage applications and monitor UK environmental permits.
Building strong Client relationships to maintain existing client base and develop new Clients.
Advising on and managing the preparation of environmental management system documents and supporting management plans required by our Clients environmental permits.
Overseeing permit monitoring and compliance reporting to the UK Regulators.
Organising junior staff and own workloads to deliver high quality work to agreed deadlines.
Providing advice on and managing the preparation of applications for environmental permits, licenses and approvals from regulatory agencies – including new applications and variations to and surrender of existing permits.
Discharging and/or overseeing pre-operational conditions and permit improvement condition items.
Responding to and dealing with technical queries on projects as required and in a professional and timely manner.
Supporting junior staff development.
Applying business development skills to delivering the business plan and securing new work.
Ensuring quality control of the output of projects in accordance with the approved QA system.

A degree in science, engineering or environmental science.
Valid UK driving licence.
Excellent communication skills

Substantial experience in preparing permit applications, variations and surrender applications across a wide range of sectors.
Experience in developing environmental management systems and management plans required for permitted facilities – fire prevention plans, accident management plans, dust management plans, odour management plans
Confident at accurately scoping new work and producing costed proposals.
