Maintenance Lead

Description

The Maintenance Lead at Riverside Resort in Whistler, BC reports to the Resort Manager and is responsible for overseeing all maintenance and general repairs across the property. The role includes coordinating staff and contractors, ensuring health and safety standards, and responding to on‑call emergencies for sewer, water and park systems. • Communicate daily with the Resort Manager about ongoing activities and issues.
• Schedule and supervise seasonal staff and external contractors, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Lead the Health & Safety Standards Program for all seasonal personnel.
• Coordinate all maintenance, repairs, and equipment usage, including sewer, water, and electrical systems.
• Perform snow removal, road and driveway clearing, and grass cutting across common areas.
• Oversee pool and Recreation Centre upkeep, including daily chemical testing.
• Ensure all property operations are conducted safely and environmentally responsibly; report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Train employees on safety procedures and proper use of safety equipment.

Requirements

• Provide 3+ years of leadership experience in a similar role.
• Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• Be available on‑call for emergencies and flexible to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Water‑operator certification is an advantageous asset.
