Improve technical understanding by on the job training and spending time on developments
Taking a lead in developments and working closely with other disciplines
To produce accurate and realistic estimates, budgets and forecast and cost control measures in line with the competency profile for the role of surveyor
Communicate with Construction Director and Customer Service Manager with respect to monitoring all prelim and sales budgets, payments and costs
To provide cost reports and key date updates to deadline
Taking full ownership of the surveying responsibilities for own developments
Negotiate with contractors and investigate reasons for cost variances
To monitor site performance against original plans, budgets and financial targets
The Trainee Surveyor will act as surveyor for designated developments. Take principle role commercially in respect of payments and costs. To support Senior Surveying Manager as required regarding financial status and profitability on designated developments
To raise subcontract orders and make payments as necessary
Developing negotiating techniques by on the job training and attending a negotiating skills course
