BMS Design Engineer - Data Center (Remote)

Description

The BMS/Control Systems Design Engineer designs instrumentation and control systems for data centers, overseeing the full project lifecycle and ensuring proper integration with other engineering disciplines. This role may require occasional travel to project sites for meetings, data collection, and construction administration.

• Design instrumentation and control systems for data center BMS projects, from concept through construction verification.
• Select and specify process instrumentation, PLCs, HMI devices, and networking hardware (copper, fiber, wireless).
• Develop BMS sequences of operation and create detailed design specifications and drawings.
• Conduct submittal reviews, field inspections, and factory witness testing.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, subconsultants, clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Travel occasionally to project sites for meetings, data collection, and construction administration.

Requirements

We seek candidates who bring strong communication skills, teamwork ability, at least six years of relevant experience, and a detail‑oriented mindset. A professional engineering license and a bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or a related engineering field are preferred.
