Tasks

-Disputes & Insurance: Managing claims and litigation, including professional indemnity matters, in collaboration with internal teams, insurers, and external counsel. -Compliance & Governance: Maintaining internal policies, implementing legal updates, and contributing to monthly legal communications. -Team Leadership: Mentoring junior legal staff and contributing to team strategy and growth. -Corporate Advisory: Providing ad hoc legal advice on corporate law, IP, privacy, competition law, and insurance. -Training & Education: Delivering legal and commercial training to project teams to promote risk awareness and legal understanding. -Knowledge Management: Supporting the development of legal precedents and resources.

What You Bring

-Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills -Contracts: Drafting, negotiating, and advising on engineering and construction agreements, ensuring smooth contractual setup, compliance with applicable laws, policies and procedures, and risk mitigation. Experience with D&C, ITC, EPCM, and Alliance models is essential. -Experience in either consulting engineering/architecture or the construction sector -Strong understanding of procurement models and contract law -Law degree and current Australian practising certificate -5–10 years’ post-qualification experience
