- Manage consumables and safety standards
- Apply DFX (Design for Excellence) IEM principles
- Ensure that First-of-Kind covers all quality requirements by maintaining detailed documentation of validation and fabrication processes, including test reports and analysis of results.
- Develop and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) all equipment in the Fabrication Lab
- Research new technologies
- Suggest and validate sub-assemblies
- Support the development and updating designs to ensure consistent fabrication practices
- Analyze fabrication data to identify bottlenecks and propose improvements for current and next builds
- Product Validation Builds
- Coordinate feedback loops between design, fabrication, and testing teams
- Help maintain updated documentation of manufacturing processes, including work instructions and process flow diagrams of the projects assigned.
- Create final reports of the prototypes fabricated.
- Responsible for on time promise (%)
- Coordinate technical training for technicians
- Develop the protocol of fabrication for prototypes, these documents will describe details about the fabrication processes, assembly and validation.
- Research for new technologies to improve processes
- Define lead times and fabrication milestones of each job
- Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and other improvement methodologies.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to review and validate design products, ensuring feasibility and compliance with technical requirements
- Develop and evaluation plan of new technologies
- Design and optimize process flow and cycle times
- Ensure traceability and documentation of prototype builds

- Experience with switchgear design and/or manufacturing would be beneficial.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and apply new skills in a manufacturing setting.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 standards and safety protocols.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.
- 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- KPI dashboards updated
- Experience with metal fabrication (laser, press brake, bus bar) and assembly.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
