The Community Ambassador is the primary contact for prospective and current residents, responsible for delivering exceptional service to maximize yearly occupancy. This role guides prospective residents through the leasing process, assists with marketing and community events, and works toward sales goals set by the Leasing & Marketing Manager and Community Manager. The Ambassador reports to the Community Manager and has no direct reports.
Key responsibilities include understanding the housing contract and related addenda, communicating this information clearly to residents and guarantors, and completing all tasks required to close a sale according to LEASE training. Activities such as generating new leads, completing guest cards, scheduling and conducting tours, and following up on leads are central to the position. The Ambassador also promotes the community through social media, on‑ and off‑campus marketing events, and assists with email and text campaigns using Entrata and TextUs.
In addition to leasing duties, the Ambassador performs daily opening and closing checklists, inspects model units and tour routes, and conducts housekeeping as needed. They attend Landmark Lineup and required staff meetings, respond promptly to internet and telephone inquiries, enter maintenance requests, and maintain detailed activity logs for prospects and residents. Enforcement of community policies, handling package notifications, and participation in move‑in, move‑out, unit inspections, and trash‑out activities are also required.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in fields such as Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related areas is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational skills, reliability, self‑discipline, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, resident lockouts, and to be available during summer and turnover periods.
