Perform a variety of tasks, including traffic engineering design plans and preliminary engineering design
Prepare documentation and design plans for traffic control devices, including traffic signals, signing and pavement markings, temporary traffic control, lighting, and Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS)

Certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE)
Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Experience with Highway Safety Manual, Highway Capacity Manual, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and AASHTO guidelines
Zero (0) to Six (6) years of progressive experience in traffic engineering
Internship experience focused in transportation design preferred
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of VA
Exceptional writing, verbal communication and presentation skills including public speaking
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
