Architect

Description

• Dealing with new enquiries and drafting fee proposals
• Production of building regulations plans, technical designs, and submission of building control applications
• Production of planning permission drawings and submission of planning applications
• Liaising with structural engineers, and other specialist external consultants
• Carrying out of measured surveys on existing properties/houses, and producing "as existing" drawings
• Covering projects in the Essex and London areas

Requirements

IMMEDIATE START FOR EITHER A QUALIFIED ARCHITECT OR SENIOR TECHNOLOGIST/TECHNICIAN - AUTOCAD BASED

AutoCAD literacy is essential for this role.

• Experience of carrying out site visits/inspections during the build phase
• Experience of all stages of residential projects including domestic loft conversions, extensions, and small (1-5 unit) new build housing/flat conversion projects
• Project management/contract administration experience preferred although not essential
• Ideal candidate would have experience working for a small practice, with a broad range of skills and experience, and used to acting as the main point of contact on projects
• Party Wall Act experience preferred but not essential
• Must have a full UK driving licence, owning a car is preferable but not essential

Boasting a burgeoning pipeline of work the Director is looking for an experienced individual to join his small team to oversee the architectural output of the business. Projects are predominantly residentially led and range from £50k through to approx. £2m in value. They also offer a hybrid working policy as standard.

Salary range - £40-50,000 per annum.
